Joiner's Fee: The Joiner's Fee is a registration fee charged to new members when they join. Memberships are non-refundable and non-transferrable. Memberships that have expired or lapsed for more than 90 days are subject to paying the Joiner's Fee upon renewal.

Monthly Payments: Monthly membership fees are continuous and any changes to the account must be made before the 1st of the next billing month.

Membership Holds: Membership can be placed on hold for up to three consecutive months. Medical holds up to six consecutive months with a doctor's note.

Age Requirements: Members 11 and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

We understand that everyone likes to try new classes to find the one that they love. Before the Monday start date of each session, you can cancel from the program at any time prior to the start of the program. You will receive a full refund as an account credit to be used on another program of your choice or back to the original payment method. After the start of the session:

  • For full pay programs: Program refunds for full pay programs are not permitted unless there are extenuating circumstances and are accompanied with proper documentation (i.e. medical). Refunds requested after the completion of a program session will not be honored.
  • For Automatic Payment Programs:  Written notice must be received at least two weeks prior to your scheduled payment due date. For refunds due to medical reasons, proper documentation will be required.
  • For cancelled classes: If the YMCA/JCC cancels a class, whenever possible, we will offer members the opportunity to make up that class. If a makeup cannot be accommodated, a member may request a credit for that class.
  • Classes missed are not guaranteed a makeup or credit. Enrolling in a program is a commitment to the day and time of that program. If a student must miss a class, please speak with the director of that program. 
  • Membership status: If membership status is adjusted during the program enrollment, the program rate will be adjusted to the new rate for the remainder of the session.

Account Credit:

Any account credit (program or membership) will be forfeited to the YMCA/JCC after 1 year from the date the account credit is applied. The forfeited credit will be transferred to a donation to the Annual Support Campaign. A letter will be sent out to the member/participant's address on file, informing the member/participant that the tax-deductible donation has been made.

A family membership at the Y is the perfect way for families to begin their health journey! We have so many options for you to choose from and the kids can explore sports, swimming and so much more!
Single memberships for youth through senior age, begin your health journey at the YMCA of MEWSA. From swimming to strength training, we have it all! Enjoy your favorite group exercise classes for free or find a new favorite.
Home for winter break or the summer? We've got you covered! No commitment or fees necessary. For a reduced monthly rate, use the Y as little or as much as you want while home. Just present your school ID and you're all set for your break!  
From September - June, any 7th grader receives a free membership at their local Y! This allows these youth & teens to experiment with fitness and form a community with their fellow 7th graders. Their membership gives them access to the fitness centers, basketball gyms, pools & more! Please bring a report card or school ID to activate your membership.
Cancer survivors receive a free membership while participating in a program that focuses on post-rehabilitation exercises, supportive cancer care & mental well-being. The program is run by a trained LiveSTRONG® at the YMCA instructor.
